Liverpool are considering a swoop for Fulham's highly-rated teenager Ryan Sessegnon.

The Reds have scouted the 16-year-old left-back, who has enjoyed an outstanding breakthrough season in the Championship.

Liverpool retain an interest in Sessegnon as Jurgen Klopp weighs up his options ahead of the summer transfer window.

The London-born England U19 international has also attracted attention from Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham among others.

Sessegnon has been in Fulham's youth ranks since the age of nine and was handed his senior debut back in August.

The attacking full-back has gone on to score six goals in 23 appearances for the Cottagers this term.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is hoping that Sessegnon will reject a bumper move to the Premier League and continue his development at Craven Cottage beyond this summer.

“I can only tell him that he will improve if he works and stays with us,” he said. “This is how I will try to convince him to stay with the club.

"I am enjoying the opportunity to work with and use him in my squad. I hope for a long time but in this business you never know what is going to happen."

Klopp is set to be in the market for a left-back this summer having used vice-captain James Milner there for most of this campaign.
