Napoli are ready to sell Lorenzo Insigne for £44m, according to reports.

The striker has found himself as a regular starter for the Italian outfit this term after they sold Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus in the summer.

But he is yet to fill the Argentine's boots, having failed to score in any of his 11 appearances this season so far.

And things could get worse for the forward with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly ready to sell him.

Italian publication Calciomercato claim Insigne is asking for a new salary of over £100,000 a week and De Laurentiis isn't ready to meet his demands.

Insigne is under contract until 2019 and is thought to be keen to stay on, but if he leaves Napoli will not let him go on the cheap with him being valued at £44m.

And according to talkSPORT, Liverpool and Tottenham are likely to be on alert over the news.

Both clubs are thought to have expressed interest in him in the past.

Insigne, who has 12 international caps to his name, was also linked with a move to West Ham in the previous transfer window.
