Liverpool can reportedly sign Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze for a reduced transfer fee of around £20million.

The Reds have long been linked with the Germany international as Jurgen Klopp looks to put his own stamp on a squad inherited from Brendan Rodgers.

Gotze shone under Klopp at previous club Borussia Dortmund, and is seemingly one of Liverpool’s top targets as he looks to be available this summer.

Chelsea are also interested in the 23-year-old, whilst previous reports have also suggested he could leave Bayern for somewhere in the region of £30-35m.

However, Bild now claim Liverpool can sign him for just £20m, a potential bargain if he fulfils the potential seen in him as a youngster.

Gotze has just one more year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena, which could be behind the club’s decision to allow him to go on the cheap.
