Juventus are ready to hijack Liverpool's summer swoop for Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze.

The attacking midfielder is set to leave the German champions in the summer as he searches for more first-team football.

Liverpool are very keen on landing the 23-year-old and Jurgen Klopp believes he can entice him to Anfield, having worked with him during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus are also trying to engineer a summer move for Gotze.

The Serie A side are wary that they may lose Paul Pogba at the end of the season and are lining up replacements.

Gotze is reportedly top of that list and a bid for the Germany international is expected within the coming weeks.
