Liverpool are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign their defender Neven Subotic, according to reports.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has no fit senior centre backs following a raft of injuries and he’s returned to his former club for emergency signings.

The Daily Mirror says negotiations are underway with Dortmund over bringing Serbian star Subotic to Liverpool on-loan.

Dortmund are open to letting the player go but talks are currently stuck, however Liverpool are hopeful of doing business.

Subotic could sign in time to play during the club’s FA Cup clash against Exeter City at the weekend.
