Liverpool are ready to sign Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo in the January transfer window, according to reports.

Murillo, 23, has been a key part of one of the meanest defences in Europe this season, with Inter shipping just 11 league goals this season.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have conceded double that amount, and are on the lookout for new players to bolster their backline.

According to Fichajes, the Reds have trained their sights on Murillo, and are ready to sign him next month by tabling a £22.1million bid.

Inter will likely be reluctant to sell the Colombian, though, as they believe he can go on to become a key player at the San Siro.
