Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is hoping for a reunion with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Grosskreutz in January.

Klopp has been told there is money to spend as the January window opens and he looks sure to add a number of new faces to the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.

Grosskreutz was a regular for Dortmund when Klopp was in charge before he was sold to Turkish outfit Galatasaray in the summer, and he could be on the move again.

The 27-year-old has been unable to play for Galatasaray after FIFA ruled that they had failed to complete the paperwork in time, and reports claim he will now look to leave in the new year.

Grosskreutz can play anywhere across the midfield and can also slot into defence, which would make him a valuable addition to the Liverpool ranks should Klopp pursue a deal.
