Borussia Dortmund have placed a £42million price tag on in-demand striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The stunning figure follows a brilliant start to the season from the the Gabon international.

The 26-year-old has scored 22 goals in 20 matches so far this campaign for Dortmund leading to the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool all being linked with Aubameyang.

But the striker himself hinted that an eventual move to La Liga may be on the horizon.

Last month, he told BBC World Service: "Maybe one day I'll leave to play in another league because my dream is to play in Spain.

"The Premier League? Lots of people think that it would good for me but my Mum is Spanish and I really have that dream to play over there."

And according to German publication Sport Bild, any club looking to sign Aubameyang will have to pay £42m (€60m).

It would make him the second most expensive transfer from the Bundesliga following Kevin De Bruyne's departure from VfL Wolfsburg to Manchester City in the summer.
