Liverpool remain favourites to sign Schalke forward Leroy Sane, with boss Jürgen Klopp expected to make a January bid.
The 19-year-old is one of the hottest properties in the Bundesliga and has attracted plenty of attention after scoring five goals already this season.
Liverpool were tentatively linked with the teenager in the summer and the Reds' interest has grown since Klopp took over from Brendan Rodgers as manager, with the former Borussia Dortmund boss a known admirer.
Klopp knows Sane well from his time in Germany and will hope he can persuade the winger, who can also operate centrally, to join him at Anfield when the new year transfer window opens.
Arsenal have also been mentioned as possible of suitors of Sane, who is valued in the £10-15million bracket, but a switch to Liverpool looks more likely as Klopp needs forward reinforcements.
