Jurgen Klopp is expected to be unveiled as Liverpool's new manager on Friday.

The German coach has agreed to succeed Brendan Rodgers after extensive talks with the club this week.

talkSPORT has been told that he will fly into Merseyside on Thursday evening to meet Reds officials before signing a three-year contract.

Klopp will be joined at Anfield by his trusted assistants Zelkjo Buvac and Peter Krawietz.

Liverpool have scheduled a press conference for Friday to unveil Klopp as their new manager.

The club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, view the 48-year-old's signature as a major coup.

Klopp has been linked with some of the biggest jobs in world football after an impressive seven-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, during which he won the Bundesliga twice.
