Jordan Henderson played the full 90 minutes as England drew 0-0 with Ukraine in their second game of the UEFA U21 European Championships.

It is the second successive draw for Stuart Pearce's side after the opening game with Spain and all now rests on the final game with the Czech Republic on Sunday night.

Overall it was a frustrating night for England against talented opposition, but they did create two glorious openings which might have claimed the three points.

In the first half Bolton's Daniel Sturridge saw his audacious 40-yard effort come crashing back off the bar, and after 53 minutes Danny Welbeck was sent clean through on goal, but the striker lacked composure and blazed the effort high and wide.

Ukraine almost grabbed a winner nine minutes from time but Frank Fielding made an excellent block, then three minutes later Sturridge was denied by a fine save from Anton Kanibolitskiy.

In the other group game Spain beat the Czech Republic 2-0.

England must now beat the Czech Republic on Sunday night in their final group game to qualify for the semi-finals.
