Martin Skrtel has revealed he is relishing Sunday's 'blockbuster' with Tottenham Hotspur as Liverpool aim to secure Europa League qualification.

Following Spurs' 1-0 defeat against Manchester City on Tuesday night, the Reds can seal fifth place in the Barclays Premier League with victory over Harry Redknapp's side.

Liverpool head into the contest buoyed by their stunning 5-2 win over Fulham on Monday - and Skrtel is hoping they can maintain their impressive form against Tottenham.

Speaking after the win at Craven Cottage, he said: "We wanted to play football from the first minute. Our plan was to score as soon as possible and to control the match. The first half was a great one because we took an early lead.

"They scored, but we added two more so in the end it was a great win for us.

"I am happy that our dream is still alive and we have two more matches to play. This will be a blockbuster against Tottenham. We play in front of our own fans and everyone knows they are great so I believe we have a great chance to beat them.

"Let's see what these two matches will bring."
