Nathan Eccleston and Suso are amongst the Liverpool party that are in the Far East for the prestigious Hong Kong 7s tournament.

Pep Segura has taken a squad of 10 players with him and the action gets underway on Saturday.

The team arrived in the Far East on Wednesday and Eccleston, Stephen Darby and David Amoo have all travelled after completing loan spells with Charlton Athletic, Notts County and Hull City respectively.

The Reds have been paired in their group with Celtic, Hong Kong U18s and local side Yau Yee League Select.

Aston Villa, Ajax and Boca Juniors are also competing in a tournament that guarantees goals.

Segura told Liverpoolfc.tv: "This is the first time Liverpool will be competing in this tournament and it will be an interesting experience.

"I have read the rules and there are no off-sides, the pitch is different and we can only use seven players at any one time in the game.

"The games only last seven minutes and we will try to do our best for Liverpool FC.

"It is an honour for Liverpool to be asked to compete in this tournament and we are looking forward to it."
