Academy forward Adam Morgan has hailed Rodolfo Borrell as the key factor behind his recent hot-streak.

The 17-year-old had netted in 14 consecutive matches for the Reds prior to the U18s clash with Everton, taking his tally for the campaign to 21.

It is a haul the hitman is immensely proud of but one he feels he would never have amassed had it not been for the advice of his Spanish coach.

Morgan told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I'm not ashamed to admit it but at the start of the season I didn't do as much work off the ball as I should have.

"Rodolfo took me to one side and spoke about how I needed to match my ability with a strong work ethic if I wanted to have a chance of making it at Liverpool.

"Now he has got me working harder off the ball and closing down defenders. I feel I've benefitted so much.

"Most of the goals I have scored are down to the words of advice from Rodolfo. The harder I work the more chances I am getting. I wouldn't have done that if Rodolfo hadn't pushed me to better myself.

"We all listen to every word he says because we know it will help us improve. He's a fantastic man and a brilliant coach."
