Thousands of supporters this afternoon turned out to pay their respects to the supporters who lost their lives at Hillsborough and now we would like to pay our own special video tribute to the 96 who were lost forever on that tragic day in 1989.

All four stands inside Anfield were filled with fans who wanted to mark the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster in the company of the families, the survivors and the players and staff, past and present.

Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes, Rafael Benitez and Stevie Gerrard were just a few of the household names who stood side by side with supporters on the Kop but today wasn't about legendary managers, famous players or even football in general.

It was about 96 ordinary men, women and children who left home to attend a football match and never returned.

This tribute is for them>>
