Internationals: Jota, Mane, Robertson and Van Dijk win qualifiers
Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane were among the goals as four Liverpool players enjoyed victories in Tuesday’s round of World Cup qualifiers.
Having earlier registered an assist, Jota headed home Portugal’s third in their 3-0 win over Azerbaijan shortly before being substituted with 12 minutes to go in Baku.
Mane, meanwhile, notched a late penalty as Senegal beat Congo 3-1.
Elsewhere, Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk both captained their countries to success as Scotland defeated Austria 1-0 and the Netherlands routed Turkey 6-1.
