Jordan Henderson has resumed full training and could come into contention for Thursday's encounter with Tottenham Hotspur, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed.

The captain missed Liverpool’s last two fixtures with Burnley and Manchester United due to a minor fitness concern.

However, Henderson – along with Joel Matip – participated fully in Tuesday’s session at the AXA Training Centre and both will be assessed before the trip to London.

Klopp told his pre-match press conference: “No new cases [injuries] and Hendo and Joel trained yesterday with the team fully.

“Like always with these things we have to see how they react overnight and what they can do today, but they trained yesterday.”
