Trent Alexander-Arnold has been nominated for the Premier League's 2019-20 Young Player of the Season award.

The right-back was a key figure in Liverpool’s title triumph, appearing in all 38 matches of the campaign – including 35 starts – and scoring four goals.

He also bettered his own benchmark for assists by a defender in a single Premier League season, racking up 13 after his dozen in 2018-19.

Still just 21, Alexander-Arnold is on the eight-man shortlist for Young Player of the Season alongside Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount (Chelsea) and Dean Henderson (Sheffield United).
