All five of Liverpool's internationals in action on Monday ended on the winning side.

Joe Gomez completed the full 90 minutes at centre-back as England claimed a 3-2 UEFA Nations League victory over Spain in Seville, where Trent Alexander-Arnold came on as a late substitute. Jordan Henderson missed the match through suspension.

Elsewhere in the Nations League, Xherdan Shaqiri played the whole game and registered an assist to help Switzerland beat Iceland 2-1, while Dejan Lovren's Croatia defeated Jordan 2-1 in a friendly.

Reds defender Lovren started in Rijeka before being substituted at half-time.

Curtis Jones, meanwhile, came off the bench with around half an hour to go as England U18s overcame Czech Republic in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw at St George's Park.

On Sunday, Andy Robertson captained Scotland in their 3-1 friendly defeat to Portugal at Hampden Park.
