"Frightening" is the latest adjective used for Liverpool's front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

The trio, who scored 91 goals between them last season, have quickly amassed seven in the Reds’ opening four Premier League fixtures, all of which have been won.

Harry Kewell, the former Liverpool forward and recently-appointed manager of Notts County, is in awe of the combination.

“They’re exciting. And you look at the players he has on the bench to come on. Look at their front three – it’s frightening,” he told Sky Sports.

“We always talked about Liverpool needing a 30-goal striker; for me, Firmino has been excellent. I can’t fault him. He works so hard in positions on and off the ball, which is fantastic.

“And then you have Mane and Salah driving at you – and both of them seem to have a competition to see who can score the most goals – it’s just excellent.”
