Jürgen Klopp was delighted to welcome back the final group of returning international players in good condition as Liverpool get ready to face Manchester City.

The squad was complemented by the remaining Reds to have been away in training on Thursday afternoon, following their exertions with their countries during the past week.

And there were no injury complaints to speak of as Klopp prepares his charges for the resumption of Premier League action on Saturday.

“It’s pretty much the best news you can get,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com during a wide-ranging interview at Melwood.

“It’s really not my favourite time, because you cannot see all the games. You always think you can see all football games but most of them I can only get a [news] ticker and if somebody is substituted you think ‘Oh’ – it’s really not too nice.

“But so far they all came home completely healthy. OK, it was intense what they did of course but healthy and fit – [it is] good.”

Klopp also discussed the fitness of Philippe Coutinho during this interview at the training ground – see his update on the No.10 here.
