Adam Lallana completed the 90 minutes as England played out a 2-2 draw with Scotland in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening.

The Liverpool midfielder was close to claiming an assist in the first half when he teed up Harry Kane, who failed to connect, and then forced a save from the goalkeeper at his near post after a clever turn and strike.

It was Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who broke the deadlock at Hampden Park, however, firing past Craig Gordon in the 70th minute to give the Three Lions the edge in the Group F tie.

But Gareth Southgate’s side saw their lead overturned when Leigh Griffiths curled home two free-kicks in the final four minutes to delight the hosts.

There was still time for further drama, though, and Kane found the net more than two minutes into stoppage-time to salvage a point for England, who remain unbeaten in the section.
