The Liverpool FC squad made their annual Christmas visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Friday afternoon to spread some festive cheer among the young patients.

After training at Melwood in the morning, the Reds travelled to the nearby hospital in West Derby, which treats 270,000 children each year.

Manager Jürgen Klopp, captain Jordan Henderson and the rest of the first-team squad met as many of the youngsters as possible during their time on the wards.

The players chatted to the patients and their families, and posed for photos and signed autographs as well as handing out Christmas gifts to the children.
