The Liverpool FC Foundation are calling for all Reds to get involved with 'The Very Big Catwalk', the biggest fashion show the UK has ever seen.

The city of Liverpool, in partnership with Very.co.uk, will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the 'most models on a catwalk' in front of Liverpool’s Three Graces.

Under the shadow of the Queen Mary 2, the waterfront will be transformed into a public participation event where more than 5,000 of the cities fashion tribes and community groups will join together to strut down the catwalk and tell the story of the city’s community groups and creativity, fashion throughout the 20th and 21st century, and the latest high fashion trends.

Liverpool FC Foundation will be playing its part in this unique event and is encouraging fans to wear their favourite red jersey to represent the Foundation on the catwalk. There is no stipulation as to which Liverpool shirt and from which era - as long as it is a home shirt.

The show will take place on Saturday July 4 and the red models will need to be available between 3.30pm-7pm on the day.

The celebrations at the Pier Head in Liverpool are part of the Transatlantic 175 weekend, which marks the 175th anniversary of Transatlantic travel and the historic links between fashion capitals New York and Liverpool.

Any fans interested in signing up to be part of this unique event should contact lfcfoundation@liverpoolfc.com before 10am on Friday July 3 2015.
