An auction of 14 match-worn Liverpool FC shirts has helped raise a grand total of £9,941.88 for the Nepal earthquake appeal.

On Saturday April 25, a massive earthquake struck Nepal, taking the lives of thousands of people and leaving many injured and homeless.

In the hope of supporting the appeal for aid, Liverpool FC donated the shirts donned by the players who beat Queens Park Rangers 2-1 at Anfield on May 2.

And a series of generous bids from the public on online auction site eBay have helped fund a significant donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

The money raised will help provide shelter, food, blankets, clean water, sanitation supplies, water storage units, medical aid and baby kits.

The DEC and LFC thank fans for their kind donations to the cause.
