Steven Gerrard stopped at a variety of iconic and picturesque locations in Liverpool as part of LFCTV's new documentary on the captain – check out some great stills from the shoot now.

'Gerrard: My Liverpool' will premiere on the Reds' official television channel at 7.30pm BST on Saturday, the night before his 710th and final appearance for the club.

The programme features touching tributes from around the football world, insights into the No.8 from much closer to home and extended interviews with the Anfield icon.

A relaxed and engaging Gerrard tours the city's resplendent waterfront to explain exactly what Merseyside means to him with the unmistakable Liver Buildings just behind.

Then the vast and historic St George's Hall, where the midfielder brought back the Champions League trophy a decade ago, welcomes him inside to conduct his final interview.
