Liverpool took to the field against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night wearing special 'Seeing is Believing' jerseys.

The logo replaced that of main club sponsor Standard Chartered for the contest to raise awareness of the charity.

'Seeing is Believing' is a Standard Chartered initiative that seeks to tackle avoidable blindness around the world by providing simple treatments and affordable surgeries to transform the lives of children and adults.

There are 39 million blind people worldwide and yet in eight out of 10 cases blindness can be prevented or treated, and it is one of the most cost-effective health interventions.

Standard Chartered has backed the initiative for more than a decade, while the Reds have joined forces with their main sponsor since 2012 to raise awareness and funds for the cause.
