Liverpool have started the season by picking up six points from their opening three matches in the Barclays Premier League – and now we're asking fans to vote for their Standard Chartered Player of the Month for August.

The Reds kicked off the new campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Southampton thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge.

An unfortunate 3-1 reversal at Manchester City came next, but Brendan Rodgers' side bounced back to form in emphatic style as strikes courtesy of Sterling, Steven Gerrard and Alberto Moreno helped record a 3-0 win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

A Liverpoolfc.com panel have drawn up a shortlist of four players who have impressed over the last few weeks - and now it's time for you to have your say on who August's star man was.

As well as his two goals, Sterling has been in electric form for the Reds, enhancing his reputation as one of the most exciting attacking young players in the game.

In midfield, Jordan Henderson has proved an industrious presence, excelling in the victory over Spurs with an iron-lunged display in the centre of the park.

Alongside him, Joe Allen has impressed with lively displays at the Eithad and White Hart Lane, while at the back, Simon Mignolet pulled off vital stops against Southampton and Tottenham to help the Reds to victory.

But which of the four most deserves to be named Standard Chartered Player of the Month, in your opinion? The supporters decide by casting a vote in our poll via the club's official Twitter account, @LFC.

Simply cast your vote in one of two ways - either retweet your preferred selection by visiting the official @LFC profile or scroll down this page to find your choice of star man.

The player who earns the most retweets will collect the August Player of the Month honour and receive their prize in a special presentation at the Reds' training ground, Melwood.
