Ahead of today's Champions League draw, Liverpool FC would like to remind supporters that the club will be using game purchase history from previous European campaigns to manage the sale of tickets for both home and away matches.

This system, which is based on attendance at previous fixtures, is something that the club is committed to maintaining, but it is also aware that a number of supporters purchase tickets with no intention of going to the game, simply to allow access to tickets for games in later rounds.

As a club we field complaints around this subject every time we play away from Anfield and, with that in mind, we would urge our fans to avoid this practice to ensure that the best interests of all our supporters are served.

Alongside the standard system, our official travel partner, Thomas Cook Sport, has a small allocation of away tickets in Europe available to all our season ticket holders and members.

Tickets will be limited and allocated on a first come, first serve basis, while stocks last.

Thomas Cook Sport will continue to operate travel options for all travelling fans this season.
