Lucas Leiva and Jon Flanagan became the latest Liverpool players to take the ice bucket challenge on Wednesday.

The pair followed in the footsteps of Daniel Sturridge, Steven Gerrard and Philippe Coutinho in having freezing cold water poured over their heads - all to help raise awareness and funds for charity.

Flanagan posted the following video on his official Instagram account - and then challenged teammate Adam Lallana, ex-Red Jamie Carragher and Everton's Ross Barkley to have a go themselves.

Lucas soon followed in response to his nominations from Coutinho and former LFC forward Ryan Babel. The midfielder also urged Sebastian Coates, ex-Anfield striker Luis Suarez and Brazilian goalkeeper Cassio Ramos to take bucket of cold water over the head.

Meanwhile, Cardiff City’s Craig Noone carried out Steven Gerrard’s nomination to take the ice bucket challenge – which you can see in our free clip below.
