Liverpool U19s will take on Anderlecht in the semi-finals of the prestigious Otten Cup in Holland on Sunday after victories over AZ Alkmaar and SC Heerenveen.

Neil Critchley's squad, featuring the likes of Jordan Rossiter, Cameron Brannagan and Harry Wilson, have been showcasing their talents at the tournament hosted by PSV Eindhoven.

In their opening fixture Sergi Canos fired the winner as the Reds beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0, while Wilson netted twice and Brannagan was also on the mark in the 3-0 win over SC Heerenveen.

Despite a goal from Ryan Kent the young Reds lost their final group game 4-1 to Real Madrid, but their two previous victories were enough to seal a semi-final spot.

Critchley told Liverpoolfc.com: "Besides 15 minutes in the second half against Real Madrid the lads have done really well and it has been a great experience for them.

"We actually played well in the first half against Madrid. We went 1-0 up, then Sergi hit the bar which would have put us 2-0 up. They scored two goals in two minutes in the second half, we had Matty Virtue sent-off and they added two more.

"This is a great competition and it would be nice to get past a good Anderlecht side and make the final."

Real Madrid take on Red Bull Brasil in the other semi-final.
