A promising local footballer hoping to represent Great Britain at the Amputee World Cup in Mexico is looking for help with funding.

Tony Mitchell, who had his right arm amputated from just below the elbow, is looking for help with funding so the team can get to Mexico for the tournament in November.

He is trying to raise £2000 and has the support of the Jamie Carragher 23 Foundation.

The 23 Foundation have kicked things off with a donation of signed memorabilia and Carragher has also donated a personalised shirt to Tony Mitchell.

If you would like to make a donation towards Tony's fund-raising target please email Mike Lepic at the 23 Foundation. The address is mike@jamiecarragher.org

Everyone at the 23 Foundation wishes Tony and the Great Britain Amputee Football team all the very best later on this year in the Amputee World Cup in Mexico.
