With football fans across the globe now focused on the World Cup, a man who featured in the 2002 final will answer your questions on Friday – when Dietmar Hamann takes control of the official LFC Twitter account for #CarlsbergTalk.

In association with club partner Carlsberg, a series of current first-team stars and legendary figures have been taking turns to helm @LFC, including Jose Enrique, Robbie Fowler, Glen Johnson and Simon Mignolet.

During the past two days, clues have been released on Instagram and Twitter regarding the identity of the seventh participant in the Q&A session, and it was then revealed that 2005 Champions League winner Hamann is next up.

A regular tweeter under his personal username, @DietmarHamann, the popular character will field questions from supporters on his career, his success at Anfield and the World Cup during a 30-minute chat from 3pm BST today.

The former Liverpool midfielder, who made 283 appearances for the Reds, featured at two editions of the tournament with Germany, reaching the ultimate match 12 years ago only for Brazil to be crowned champions on the biggest stage.

Getting involved in the takeover could not be easier - simply post your question for Hamann and ensure to include the hashtag #CarlsbergTalk. And remember, the more quirky, unusual or interesting your poser, the greater chance of receiving a response.

Signed prizes will also be on offer, so submit your tweet now and make sure you are following @LFC from 3pm on Friday to enjoy the entire conversation and discover if the Reds favourite provides a reply.
