A second charity golf day in memory of the late Hillsborough campaigner, Anne Williams, will be held next month to raise money for Hope for Hillsborough.

Anne sadly passed away in April 2013 following a six-month battle with bowel cancer, just days after summoning the strength to attend the annual Hillsborough memorial service at Anfield.

Her son, Kevin, was one of the 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives on April 15, 1989 at the tragedy which unfolded as the Reds faced Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup semi-final.

The first edition of the memorial golf day was arranged in July 2013 and was hailed a success after raising several thousand pounds.

Tees and clubs will be out in force for the second running of the event on Friday July 11 - with the starting time scheduled for 11.15am BST at the Huyton and Prescot Golf Club.

All funds generated from the event will be donated to the Hope for Hillsborough charity.
