Brendan Rodgers will welcome Liverpool defender Daniel Agger back into his squad for the Reds' Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester City this Sunday.

The vice-captain was absent for last weekend's journey to Upton Park, where the travellers downed West Ham United 2-1 to clock up a ninth consecutive victory in the division.

But as the table-toppers prepare to welcome their third-place rivals to Anfield, the manager revealed on Friday that the No.5 is available to return to the group.

"Everyone is fit - Daniel Agger is back into the squad," the Northern Irishman explained at his pre-match press conference today.

Indeed, the boss was able to report no fresh injury concerns as his team attempt to further consolidate their advantage at the Premier League summit.

Rodgers added: "Only Jose Enrique is out. We have 20 players fit and raring to go."
