Martin Skrtel is confident Liverpool can replicate the intensity that dismantled Everton in midweek when they take on West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

The Reds recorded a resounding 4-0 triumph over their neighbours on Tuesday to consolidate fourth position in the Barclays Premier League table.

Now Liverpool must go again when they travel to the Hawthorns, insists Skrtel.

"Obviously the derby special and everyone is up for the game, but we know what we are fighting for this season," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"We are in the top four, so we know we have a lot to play for. Now we have to be ready for the game against West Brom.

"We know it's not going to be an easy game but if we can continue with the way we played against Everton and show that form, we can get something."

Confidence is high following the Merseyside derby success, but Skrtel is adamant Liverpool won't be underestimating a West Brom side who began Sunday in 17th position in the table.

"I think every single stadium in the Premier League is tough to go to and you can't really expect to get an easy win," he said. "It'll be the same against West Brom.

"In the game we played there last season we lost 3-0, but this year is a different situation, a different team. Our confidence is high and we want to show that in the game.

"If we play our best and show a similar performance to the last game, we can win."
