Photos: Stevie steps up Melwood recovery
Liverpool continued their festive period preparations with a training session at Melwood on Friday, during which captain Steven Gerrard maintained his ongoing recovery from a hamstring strain.
The skipper is currently out with a problem picked up against West Ham United on December 7, but is targeting a return to competitive action in the New Year and was out on the field at the West Derby complex.
Our photographers were in attendance today to capture the 33-year-old working hard, in addition to providing a series of images of his colleagues preparing for this weekend's clash with Chelsea.
