If you fancy a Christmas gift with a difference for the Liverpool fans among your family or friends, why not book tickets for the next production of The Bill Shankly Story, the acclaimed show which stretches into its eighth year in 2014?

Shankly legends Ian St John, Ian Callaghan and Chris Lawler will join writer and presenter John Keith and narrator Steve Hazlehurst live on stage at the superb new Atkinson Theatre, Southport for the next performance on Friday, February 7, 2014.

The show has played in four different countries since the curtain first went up in 2006, entertaining audiences in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Norway, as well as numerous venues at home.

"It just underlines the amazing power of the Shankly legend," says Callaghan, Liverpool's 857-match appearance record holder.

The show features rolling images and exclusive audio clips of Shankly speaking and Callaghan admits: "When I hear his voice echoing around the theatre the hairs on the back of my neck stand up."

Tickets for the show, at £16 with £13 concessions, are available in person at the Atkinson Theatre, by calling 01704 533333, or online at www.theatkinson.co.uk.

Callaghan and John Keith will be signing copies of the show brochure and their book 'Cally On The Ball' at Broadhurst's Bookshop, Market Street, Southport between 12.30pm and 2pm on Wednesday, December 18 when show tickets will also be available.
