Throughout the summer, the Liverpool FC Foundation's Equality 4 All campaign has been busy offering special soccer camps to engage young people from ethnic and excluded backgrounds across the city.

One of the aims of the club's official charity is to provide tailored programmes that inspire positive change and build better futures for youngsters and adults of all ethnic groups and disabilities.

During the past three weeks, sessions have been running at Wavertree Sports Park with scores of young people taking part in the football coaching throughout each day.

The programmes have been run in partnership with the Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF) which Liverpool FC Foundation has a long-standing relationship with. AWF is a charity established by Anthony's family following his tragic death in a racially-motivated attack in July 2005.

In addition to the football sessions hosted by professional community coaches at this year's soccer camps, participants have also been taking part in anti-discrimination music and educational workshops led by AWF and local record label, The Playmaker Group.

Rishi Jain, Liverpool FC's social inclusion officer, said: "The work that our foundation has been doing with the Anthony Walker Foundation is fantastic.

"It's an important partnership for us to have and both the football and workshop sessions that have been delivered are all about promoting equality and inclusion with young people.

"Using our Equality 4 All programme in the city enables us to inspire positive change throughout our communities."
