Two goals from Jerome Sinclair and a strike from Sam Gainford put Steve Cooper's side in the driving seat but the young Eagles stormed back after the re-start.

Sullay Kai-Kai scored a brilliant individual goal to give Palace hope and Connor Dymond headed home to set up a frantic finish.

Substitute Jack Dunn suffered a recurrence of his hamstring problem that meant Cooper's side had to play the final 20 minutes with 10 men.

Will Johnson-Cole fired an equaliser to give Palace a share of the spoils before Daniel Trickett-Smith then almost won it for the young Reds in stoppage time but was unlucky to see his blistering effort strike the bar.
