Liverpool aim to bounce back from the opening day reversal to West Brom with a decisive performance on Sunday at Anfield against Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City.

Recent home form against City will give manager Brendan Rodgers and his players hope for a good result. In the last six games at Anfield, Liverpool have won three and drawn three against City.

Arguably the best of those victories came in April 2011 when Andy Carroll scored either side of a Dirk Kuyt strike in a memorable performance.

A repeat of that scoreline this Sunday is a long shot at 35/1 with Paddy Power while Andy Carroll is 8/1 to be first goalscorer and 11/4 to find the net at any time.

Pepe Reina believes Saturday's 3-0 defeat at West Brom will prove a one-off as the club prepares for the visit of City, followed by games against Arsenal and Manchester United.

"We don't have the easiest run of fixtures coming up, but they are what they are. We have to face them and I'm sure for them it won't be easy to come to Anfield," said Reina. "We have to make ourselves strong at home. This year we have to get better results at home."

Fabio Borini made his Barclays Premier League debut against West Brom and the Italian revealed it was a Manchester City player, Mario Balotelli, who persuaded him to join Liverpool.

"When I was with Italy at Euro 2012, I was talking to Balotelli about England, and he told me that Liverpool had the most exciting fans to play in front of. He described it as a beautiful experience," said Borini.

A goal against City would no doubt make Borini's home league debut extra special. The former Roma player is priced at 8/1 with Paddy Power to be the first goalscorer and is 11/4 to find the net at any time. The wincast betting option has Liverpool to win with Borini scoring at any time priced at 11/2 with Paddy Power.

Paddy Power also has a money-back special on the game against Manchester City. If Luis Suarez or Carlos Tevez scores the last goal, Paddy Power will refund all losing first goalscorer, last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on the match.

Otherwise, Liverpool are 2/1 for the home win, with a draw available at 23/10 and an away win for City priced at 11/8.
