The Merseyside derby is one of the fiercest battles in Premier League football.

So we thought the perfect way to get in the mood for tonight's clash would be to see what the reigning Commonwealth light heavyweight champion Tony 'The Bomber' Bellew had to say.

A die-hard Evertonian, you'll see him in his Everton tracksuit whenever he steps into a weigh-in. He's honest, frank and, it's fair to say, he's not all that fond of Liverpool FC.

But most importantly he's relishing the prospect of a special atmosphere at Anfield tonight and all he wants to do now is get in the away end and soak it all up.

Talk of Jelavic hat-tricks, that Gerrard celebration, a cameo from David Price and more are in store as we bring you a bruising view from Goodison Park.

So Tony, you're all sorted for tonight then?

I'm sorted, yeah. I sit with the Blues and I scream until I've got no voice left. I don't really drink as well so it's not like I'll have a pint with the lads. I'll have a few bottles of water and soak up the atmosphere. There's no better atmosphere than derby games.

The Blues are in good form aren't they?

I'm buzzing after the result on Saturday. Everton got what they deserved: it was a game of two halves - we were all over them first half and they absolutely tanked us second half. The only difference was our great resilience in defence and the way the lads defended and battled.

I was just waiting for Jelavic to get his chance. Some of the lads had told me, 'watch out for him' and I was like, 'OK wait till we see him then'. But when I saw him get hold of the ball, he was just doing different things, his touch on the ball - he knew where the ball was going before he controlled it. Moyes has spent very little money and he's got himself some great players.

So is there confidence going into tonight's game?

Form goes out the window when it comes to derby games. If it was going on form, we should be heavy favourites but the truth is that's just not the way it goes. Liverpool have won two games out of the last 10 in the league but, like I say, form goes out of the window and it doesn't matter. It's just all about on the night. It's going to be a crazy atmosphere and I'm just looking forward to being in there and soaking it up.

Best derby memory at Anfield?

I've got a couple. My favourite one was Kevin Campbell (in 1999), the last time we won there but there's also Tim Cahill scoring that last minute goal. I've got loads. But don't get me wrong, I've got some dreadful ones as well. At Goodison, watching Gerrard run down the Lower Bullens, celebrating like a lunatic was one. I've got horrible memories and I've got great memories.

Merseypride?

I'm not going to lie and say I support Liverpool when they play because that just doesn't happen. Of course I support causes like Justice for the 96. I signed the petitions and other things like that. At the end of the day, I'm footy mad - so I do stick up for those kinds of things but when it comes to Liverpool playing someone I don't want them to win!

The only team I don't want to see you lose against is Man United. To be honest with you, I just want it to be a draw and for you to have five men sent off each! If Liverpool are playing anyone I want to see them get tanked...

Oh hold on, here we go...David Price (British heavyweight boxer and avid Red) is sat next to me in the car here and has just asked me to get out and go for a walk with him, so we can sort this out!

Has David got a best derby memory?

He says he remembers when Liverpool hadn't beat Everton for years and Robbie Fowler did one of his 'famous' celebrations as Liverpool won 3-2, that was one of his favourites...Oh here we go - he's telling me now about Nick Barmby and when he scored against us. He's only saying that to wind me up.

Everton win the FA Cup or you win the WBO world title?

That's a hard one that, you know. When it comes to the FA Cup and winning a world title, one's my livelihood, that's what I've got to do. If it makes a better life for me and my kids then there's really no choice. But if you asked me tomorrow, would I rather be a world champion or be a consistent number nine for Everton, I'd chose to be a number nine every day of the week.

Really?

Listen mate, do you think I enjoy getting punched in the head for a living?! Exactly. Nobody enjoys getting punched in the face for a living but when it comes to boxing - don't get me wrong I enjoy my job - but I'd much rather play for Everton Football Club.

If one Liverpool player could be wearing a blue shirt on Tuesday night, who would it be?

It's a tough one that, because if I went overall, it's got to be Steven Gerrard. But if I went on recent form and for a player who would make the most impact at Everton, I would go for Craig Bellamy. Gerrard's just an all-round fantastic player but on recent form and for a player who really turns it on when he comes on the pitch, it would be Bellamy.

What's the best thing that can happen between 8.00pm and 10.00pm on Tuesday?

Jelavic gets a hat-trick and I go nuts in the Liverpool away end.

And the worst?

Just Liverpool win. I can't describe it. If Liverpool win and Steven Gerrard runs past the away end with that face on him like he did past the Lower Bullens that day - that's my worst fear. The year he done that, I was sat in the corner of the Gwladys by the Bullens and he ran right past me with his tongue out of his mouth. That image has haunted me for years, I tell you.

What is going to happen tonight?

It's going to be a tight game. It's going to be so tense - the atmosphere will be brilliant and I'm going for either 1-1 or 2-1 Everton. That's the one.
