Ladies set to kick off new season
Liverpool Ladies begin their 2012 season campaign this Sunday when they take on Birmingham in the FA Cup.
The tie is the first competitive game of the year, ahead of the new FA Women's Super League (WSL) season, which begins in April.
The Reds Ladies face a difficult FA Cup fifth round tie against last season's FA WSL runners-up, Birmingham.
Captain Vicky Jones said: "We know that Birmingham will be a tough game for us, they had a great season last year and have some fantastic players.
"Yet, we're full of confidence going into the match and I think we have a very good chance. Our pre-season performances have been encouraging as we've improved with every game.
"I know the team can't wait to get playing again and we want to kick off our season in style and progress to the next round of the FA Cup."
The match will be played on Sunday, March 11 at Stratford Town FC, kick-off 2pm. Tickets are priced at £6.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions.
