Rodolfo Borrell is hoping his Liverpool side can replicate their mini-derby performance from February 21 against Everton when the two sides clash again in the Barclays Premier Reserve League North at Goodison Park today.

Kick-off is at 2pm GMT and you can watch the game exclusively live on LFC TV and LFC TV Online with our coverage starting at 1.30pm.

Last time the sides met Raheem Sterling was on the mark in Kirkby as the young Reds came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw, and Borrell's boys could easily have won the game.

The Reds produced an equally impressive display to win 2-0 at Wigan Athletic last week, and Borrell is hoping his charges can keep up their good form ahead of next week's NextGen Series semi-final clash with Ajax.

"We played very well at Wigan last week and there were a lot of positives for me to take from the performance after a scrappy first half," Borrell told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"Michael Ngoo scored two good goals and we want to produce that same level of performance against Everton.

"It is good for the lads to get the chance to play in a big stadium like Goodison Park and we are expecting another tough match against an experienced Everton side.

"We played extremely well in the first game against Everton. They fielded a strong team but we matched them and showed great character to come from a goal down to get a draw.

"Derby games are not normally the best football matches because sometimes there is too much passion and aggression but that was an entertaining game.

"As always we will do our best. It will be hard against an experienced team but we will work hard and it's positive because the lads understand they need to step up and they have the opportunity to show everybody how much they have improved."
