At Anfield: Liverpool 43 wins, 19 draws, Tottenham 6 wins.
Overall: Liverpool 63 wins, 34 draws, Tottenham 40 wins. 

Earlier this season Liverpool lost 4-0 at White Hart Lane. Luka Modric, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor (2) scored the goals.

In that game Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel were sent off - the Reds trailing 1-0 when each red card was issued.

In the Reds' final home game of last season Spurs won 2-0 at Anfield with Rafael van der Vaart and a Luka Modric penalty securing the points to help the Londoners, a week later, clinch the final Europa League spot. It was Spurs' biggest ever league win on the ground.

Only Roger Hunt (9) scored more league goals for Liverpool against Spurs than Kenny Dalglish, who netted eight.

Since the inception of the Premier League, Liverpool have won 17 and lost 12 of the 39 meetings home and away.

Dirk Kuyt has scored four Premier League goals for the Reds against Tottenham. Only Robbie Fowler (6) and Steve McManaman (5) have scored more.

Last season at White Hart Lane, the then Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam took two penalties. One was saved by Heurelho Gomes and one went in. His spot-kicks were awarded 70 seconds apart.

Glen Johnson made his Liverpool debut in this fixture on the opening day of the 2009-10 season.

Liverpool have lost only one of the last 17 league games at home to Spurs - winning 11 and drawing five. 

The Reds' last hat-trick against Spurs was scored by Phil Boersma at Anfield in 1974. It is the last of four scored against the Londoners in the league.

109 goals have been scored in the 39 Premier League meetings between the teams. Only the Reds' fixture with Newcastle (112) has produced more. 

Sebastian Coates made his Liverpool debut at White Hart Lane last September, replacing the injured Daniel Agger after 27 minutes.

The Reds are unbeaten in 14 home matches in all competitions since losing to Spurs back in May. 

Liverpool have lost only one of the last 110 league games at Anfield when they have scored the first goal. That came against Arsenal in December 2009 last season when the Reds lost 2-1.

Steven Gerrard, Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez have yet to start the same game for Liverpool and have been on the pitch together for just 69 minutes for the Reds. 

Craig Bellamy has netted seven goals in his last seven starts in all competitions.

Last season Tottenham gained their first league double over Liverpool since 1986-87 when they won both games 1-0. 

Spurs are looking to beat Liverpool for the fourth successive time in the league. It would equal their previous best, set in March 1912.

It is 100 years since Tottenham recorded successive league doubles over the Reds. A win now would achieve the feat.

The last time Spurs finished third in the top-flight was in 1989-90 when they finished behind Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Emmanuel Adebayor scored on his Tottenham debut at Wolves in September. He had also found the net on his league debut for both Arsenal and Manchester City. 

During Harry Redknapp's managerial career he has won 14 and lost 12 of his 34 games against the Reds in all competitions with his four clubs. He has won six and lost two of his eight meetings as Spurs boss.

Tottenham are aiming to record their fifth double over Liverpool and their second in the Premier League. 

The Londoners have kept two clean sheets in the last 15 league visits and three in the last 24 on this ground in the top-flight.

Prior to last season, Spurs' last league win at Anfield was in August 1993 when Teddy Sheringham scored twice in a 2-1 victory. Since then they have picked up eight points out of a possible 51. 

Tottenham's heaviest defeat at Anfield came in September 1978 when they lost 7-0. It is still the club's biggest ever league defeat.

Tottenham's last hat-trick against the Reds was scored by Jimmy Greaves, who hit four at White Hart Lane in April 1963 in a 7-2 win.

Spurs have won only four times in 65 league meetings at Anfield. They came in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 2011.

They are looking to keep a second successive clean sheet at Anfield for the first time since 1971-72 season.

Only two players have been sent off in Liverpool v Tottenham Premier League meetings - Mauricio Taricco (1995) and Paul Stalteri (2006) were both dismissed for the visitors at Anfield. 

Spurs' have lost three times on their league travels this season - 3-0 at Manchester United, 2-1 at Stoke and 3-2 at Manchester City. 

They have lost two of the last 10 league games away from home but have scored in all 10.

Tottenham have scored in each of the last 22 league games - their best run since netting in 26 in a row between November 1986 - April 1987. 

They have failed to score only once in the Premiership this season - that coming in the 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford back in August.

In all competitions they have hit the net in each of the last 18 matches. 

Spurs are one draw short of recording 200 in the Premier League.

Three of Tottenham's last four league defeats have come against north-west clubs - Manchester United and Manchester City (twice).

Spurs' defeat at Manchester City last month is their only loss in the last 12 games in all competitions. 

Benoit-Assou Ekotto and Brad Friedel are the only players to appear in all of Spurs' league games this season. This will be the 290th consecutive Premier League appearance for Friedel. 

Gareth Bale has scored three goals in his last two games.

Referee Michael Oliver takes charge of Liverpool for the third time this season. He officiated in the League Cup win at Brighton and the league draw at Wigan.
