Charlie Adam delighted young aspiring footballers from the Chinese Pagoda Community Centre in Liverpool when he took part in a Q and A session with them as part of the LFC Equality 4 All project.

The Scottish international paid a very special visit to the Liverpool Aquatics Centre in Wavertree to tell them about his Liverpool career so far, and why he believes the Reds are going places under Kenny Dalglish.

Over 30 teenagers, between the ages of 14 to 19, enjoyed their usual weekly football session in front of Adam, before he answered their questions and signed autographs for every single one of them.

Liverpool's No.26 told the lads they must work hard and be dedicated if they want to achieve their footballing dream.

Adam told Liverpoolfc.tv: "It's always good to give something back to the community and at a club like Liverpool FC this is so important.

"If we can help these kids as best we can then that's great and if they can learn something from it hopefully they can take it on board for the rest of their lives.

"It's great to see the club involved in these kind of initiatives and hopefully it can continue for a long time. It's great to meet the kids and see the hard work they are putting in."

Liverpool FC Social Inclusion Officer Rishi Jain said: "To have someone like Charlie Adam come down, meet the kids, join in a session and answer their questions is absolutely brilliant.

"With the Equality 4 All Project we do 18 hours coaching a week with kids from different areas and ethnic minorities and bring them all together through football.

"We have had a great relationship with the Chinese Pagoda Community Centre for three years now and we get between 30 and 50 lads who come down on a Friday night to our session."

Helen Owen, from the Chinese Pagoda Community Centre added: "It was brilliant having Charlie here and the young people were absolutely delighted to see him.

"The lads mix with each other and we always stress the importance of team work, team building and getting to know each other.

"The Liverpool Football Club Equality 4 All Project is absolutely brilliant and without their support we wouldn't be here today. The community coaches are always fantastic and the work they do is invaluable."
