Glen Johnson and Stewart Downing have been called up for England ahead of the forthcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden.

Fabio Capello has selected the Reds pair as part of his 25-man squad for the Wembley double-header.

The Three Lions face the world champions in front of a sell-out crowd on Saturday, November 12 before hosting the Scandinavian side three days later.
