Anfield's Stadium tour is world renowned for delivering a fantastic insight into behind the scenes at Liverpool, but as an added bonus fans can now get a personal welcome from some of the club's top stars – with a difference.

From this Sunday - and then every Sunday onwards besides November 21 - top impressionist Darren Farley will be entertaining supporters on the tour with a weekly stand-up show.

His fantastic portrayals of captain Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso Jamie Carragher and Rafael Benitez have earned him wide acclaim amongst Liverpool fans, and the boyhood Red admits he has to pinch himself at being given this unique chance.

"This is an unbelievable opportunity for me because Liverpool Football Club have employed me to do a stand-up show for the people who come on the stadium tour on a Sunday," Farley told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"We had a few meetings and we thought why not get me doing some stand-up routines for the supporters? I am absolutely over the moon to be doing this.

"At the end of the tour the fans will be entertained by me with a 15 to 20 minute show. It is an amazing feeling to get the chance to work for this club.

"People have heard me doing the likes of Carra and Stevie G but I also do Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, and other football personalities like David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney."

Darren first shot to fame as a YouTube sensation with over 4 million hits, showcasing his hilarious impressions of many high profile football players and managers.

He once performed for the Liverpool squad back in 2008.

"I had only started doing impressions back in 2008 and it was incredible performing in front of the Liverpool FC squad," he added.

"I just remember walking into Circo and it was surreal. Pepe brought me a beer and it went down really well.

"At the time it wasn't really a job to me and it was just a bit of fun. I never really took it that seriously but in the last six months it has become a job.

"Liverpool have now come calling and it is just unbelievable.

"My mates always used to say to me 'Darren, you will end up doing this as a job,' but to say I would be standing here at Anfield being paid by the club to entertain supporters is just a dream come true.

As for supporters waiting to hear Darren try to impersonate the King himself, he added:  "This is a main impression for me to do. A lot of people have asked me to do Kenny and I am close to doing it, but I can guarantee Kenny is coming soon."

Darren will be making his Anfield debut during stadium tours at Anfield this coming Sunday. Click here for more information on the tour and to book your place now.
