Luis Suarez was Liverpool's star man during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sunderland, according to fans who voted in our online poll.

The Uruguayan hitman made amends for missing an early penalty by heading the Reds into the lead at Anfield, and his all-action performance was enough to earn 32 per cent of your vote.

New boy Charlie Adam, who supplied the assist for Suarez's goal, came second in our poll having tallied 22 per cent of the total, while Stewart Downing was third with 20 per cent.

Meanwhile, Suarez was also named man of the match by the Liverpoolfc.tv journalists in the Anfield press box.
