Pacheco joy as Spain march on
There were mixed emotions for two of Liverpool’s brightest youngsters in the U20 World Cup in Colombia on Wednesday.
Michael Ngoo played the opening 60 minutes for England as they crashed out of the tournament, losing 1-0 to Nigeria in the last 16, but there was joy for Dani Pacheco as Spain booked their place in the quarter-final after beating the Korea Republic 7-6 in a penalty shoot-out.
Pacheco played the opening 50 minutes before being replaced, and Spain now face Brazil in the last eight on Monday.
